Hello, my name is Carol Perrone.
I had a rather perky introduction, but because of the 9/11 events I have decided to tone it down. This is a sad time for America. Over 5,000 of our citizens have been slaughtered by chest pounding, suicidal fanatics. Our nation is now at war.
Will America ever feel the security it has enjoyed throughout its history? I think not. Sadly, our children will never know the serenity that we have long been privy to.
On the up side; it has taken an atrocity such as this to bring our nation together. We have seen our citizens display heroic acts far beyond our wildest imagination. Our nation has banded together to monetarily help the dependents of the WTC tragedy.
We are a strong and brave nation, and we will overcome this setback. We will win the war against terrorism, and hopefully, this event will make us more diligent in policing our borders.
